I'm Jen...
...and I make pots in a tiny studio at the bottom of my garden in East Bristol.

Pottery isn't something I do alongside my life — it's woven all the way through it. Some mornings I'm at the wheel before breakfast. Other days, glazing happens at the kitchen table between everything else. That closeness to the making is what I love most about it.

Each pot begins as wet clay on the wheel, shaped by hand, then left to dry slowly before I refine the form and pull the handles. It goes into the kiln once, comes back out, and then the real pleasure begins — choosing glaze combinations, layering colours, imagining what the heat will do to them. A second firing, and then a final sanding until the finished piece is as good to hold as it is to look at.

I make pots because I love every part of it: the weight of wet clay, the quiet of the studio, the moment a glaze comes out of the kiln as something unexpected. And then taking them to market and putting them into the hands of people who'll actually use them.

That last part matters to me most of all.
