Seasonal mug subscription

My seasonal mug subscription is something I'm really excited about! The idea is to make some seasonally inspired mugs, which will really capture the essence of the season. I'm excited to dream up some glaze and clay combinations - starting with Autumn - which ooze seasonality and which will be exclusive to members for 12 months. You can see a small promo video with some inspiration images here.
I've perhaps overcomplicated this given that it is seasonal, a surprise, and you can pay for it by subscription. This is a lot to wrap your head around! However, there are good reasons for each of the elements of this.

The vision for this came from my previous work life, where I often treated myself to nice things to get me through the week. A monthly hand dyed yarn subscription from Needle and Fred yarn was one of these things. Each month I got a small skein of yarn through the post. The monthly parcels were such a treat and I ended up making this beautiful blanket...
So I thought why not try out a similar idea but with mugs? Like the blanket club, the mugs will be a surprise. You are taking a leap of faith, but who wouldn't want a autumn themed mug? (and if you really hate it, you can rewrap it and put it in the office secret santa!)
I'm posting the Autumn mugs out on the week beginning the 15th September. So you'll just have done the back to school/back to work thing, and will be knuckling down to a routine after the summer. The nights will be drawing in. That strikes me as the ideal time to get a little work of mug-based art in the post. You'll be drinking your pumpkin spiced latte or hot chocolate and be thanking "past you" for choosing to sign up.

I've chosen the clay body I'm going to use for the Autumn mug and have been playing around with test tiles. I've ordered a few new glazes, and will start combining some of these next week.
If you go "all in" you will get the Winter mug on December 15th - it'll be a perfect pre Christmas pick me up, which you can fill with spiced tea, mulled wine, or brandy hot chocolate, to keep you going while you write your cards, wrap your presents, or work out the timings for Christmas lunch.
So why a subscription? One of the things that matters to me is that you are able to treat yourselves (or your loved ones) to beautiful handmade ceramic items without breaking the bank.
You can pay for these mugs on a monthly subscription basis, making them as little as £5.40 a month (if you sign up for a 12 month, 4 mug subscription with local delivery). This equates to my usual price of £18 for a large mug. If you subscribe for the 12 month period you get a 10% loyalty discount.
You've got until the end of the week to sign up to a subscription, or you have until the end of July to pay for the Autumn mug in one payment.
Any questions - let me know!
